How Long Do You Have to Be Separated in Texas Before Divorce?Texas is one of the few states that doesn't require a separation period before divorce. However, suppose a couple wants to use living apart as grounds for divorce. In that case, they must have lived separately for at least three years. Living separately and apart means living in different residences.

My ex-spouse is not adhering to the child custody/visitation/support order. What can I do?
The orders that were created during your divorce proceedings are legally binding and must be followed. If your ex-partner is failing to uphold their end of the agreement, you can take legal action to hold them accountable.
